Sports Therapist, Medical Acupuncturist, Bio-mechanics Coach
I have been working in the health and fitness area since 2006 when I completed my diploma in Swedish Massage and began working as a sports therapist. I have always been keen to enhance and expand my knowledge, skills and experience in the field of sport therapy and my understanding of anatomy and movements and throughout my time in this area I have continually furthered my knowledge and education.
Through years of learning and experience, I have successfully developed my own approach towards sports therapy, which combines osteopathic manipulations, bio-mechanical screening and training, sports massage, medical acupuncture (dry needling) and postural awareness coaching combined with stretching and muscle relaxation exercises.
Well-being however is a shared responsibility between the client and therapist. Together we will learn how you use your body, understand its range of motion, how your body reacts to your lifestyle and it affects your posture. I use biomechanical screening to identify muscle weakness or dysfunction and highlight any ‘holding patterns’ or stressful behaviours and empower you to prevent, reduce or manage all problems while improving your overall health and fitness.
